A Family Adventure at Smith Rock

You can’t always control the weather, but you can control the memories you make!

When we headed out to Smith Rock State Park for this sweet session, Central Oregon’s wildfire season had left us with a heavily overcast, smoky sky. But instead of letting the haze slow them down, this family of four turned the afternoon into a total adventure.

With an easygoing mom and dad, an amazing 15-year-old big sister, and a precious baby girl who completely stole the show, they were the ultimate troopers. The smoke actually acted like a giant natural softbox, giving the massive canyon walls a gorgeous, cinematic tone that perfectly complemented their earthy sage, flannel, and neutral wardrobe.

We spent our time exploring the golden desert grass, laughing through the wind, and focusing entirely on real, candid connections. It was a beautiful reminder that when you bring the right energy, you get pure magic.
